Genesis completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford with a focus on education. He earned his undergraduate degree in Asian Studies and Literature from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Genesis specialises in teaching English Language and Literature (up to A-Level), Philosophy (up to A-Level), and Religious Studies (up to GCSE). He has extensive teaching experience, having previously taught English and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) within the IB curriculum at an international school in China. He has also contributed to the design and development of ESL course content.
